Colby Bladow grew up in Yorba Linda, California. Her love for dance was sparked in her debut recital performance to "Let's All Dance Like a Daisy," where she performed from inside a flower pot (a very tricky prop for a five-year-old). Colby was hooked, and she spent her childhood dancing competitively throughout Southern California in styles spanning jazz, lyrical and contemporary.

During her four years at Yale University, Colby was a member of Yaledancers (YD). She choreographed more than a dozen pieces for the company's biannual shows and served as YD's class coordinator and treasurer. Colby was also the president of the Alliance for Dance at Yale, where she directed and supported Yale's 25+ dance groups and planned community events like the annual "Dance Jam."

Colby has a degree in Political Science and currently works as a paralegal. Colby is incredibly excited to return for her third season of DanceWorks -- and to debut her choreography with the company!
