Faith Tomlin (she/her) is from San Diego, California. She grew up training pre-professionally in classical ballet at Balletcenter Studios, and went on to dance with City Ballet of San Diego.

Faith attended Yale University, where she danced with Yaledancers (YD), Yale's premier dance company since 1973. As a member of YD, Faith explored dance styles other than classical ballet for the first time, and fell in love with contemporary, jazz, heels, and musical theatre in particular. Throughout her time in YD, she choreographed eight pieces for the company, ranging in style from contemporary and jazz, to ballet and pointe work. Faith served on YD's executive board for four years, two of them as co-president—and one of those years as co-president with Nora, her DWNYC co-choreographer this season!

Faith lives in Brooklyn and works in book publishing as an assistant editor at Macmillan. Outside of DanceWorks New York City, Faith dances with Unbound Dance Collective, and has had her choreography selected for the Young Choreographer's Festival at the Joyce Theatre. This is her eighth season dancing with DWNYC and she's incredibly excited to be sharing her choreography again with such a warm and talented community.
