Jayson is a graduate from SUNY Oneonta. It was during his time here that he discovered his love of dance and performing after a friend asked him to try out for an African routine she choreographed for the Terpsichorean Dance Company (TERPS). From there, Jayson was hooked and continued dancing in TERPS for a total of six semesters, three of which he participated as a choreographer. Jayson’s main style is hip hop; however, he has also danced in the styles of African, Bollywood fusion, Broadway, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, and Soca. After a break, Jayson is back for his 13th season with DanceWorks New York City and his 12th season choreographing for the company. In his free time, Jayson loves spending time with his friends and family, indulging in horror movies, and chef-ing it up in the kitchen. Jayson is from Queens, NY and currently works for the NYC Department of Education.
