Kayla is excited to be with DanceWorks New York City for her ninth season as a dancer and sixth season as a Contemporary Choreographer. Kayla has been dancing since the age of 3, training and competing in multiple styles on Long Island. She developed a love of Ballet at a young age that has provided a strong technical base for her current focus on Contemporary dance.

After graduating high school, Kayla attended Fairfield University where she was a Choreographer for the Dance Ensemble for three years. As a rising Sophomore, Kayla co-founded Fairfield Dance Fusion, the only student-run competitive dance club at the University. She acted as Co-Captain in her Sophomore year and remained on the board as Technique Coordinator through her graduation. As a Senior, Kayla was elected to be President of Dance Ensemble, and was responsible for organizing 65+ student dancers and planning the end of the year showcase that featured over 30 student-choreographed numbers, seven of which were choreographed by her.

Kayla graduated from Fairfield University in 2016 but continued choreographing for Dance Fusion for her first two post-grad years. During that time, Kayla began dancing with and choreographing for DanceWorks New York City while also attending St. John's University School of Law. She currently works at Queens Legal Services: Domestic Violence & Family Law Advocacy Project. Kayla feels lucky to have found a way to continue to feed her passion for dancing and performing through DanceWorks New York City, and she looks forward to once again having the chance to continue to expand her journey as a Choreographer.
