Mackenzie Simon is a New Jersey native who began dancing at the age of seven. She danced competitively throughout high school with West Side Dance, where she served as a captain and choreographer, as well as the Jackson Memorial High School Varsity Dance Team. Mackenzie specializes in hip-hop and contemporary, styles that continue to shape her movement and creative voice.

Mackenzie graduated in 2024 from St. John’s University, where she was a member of the Division I Dance Team, earning a degree in Marketing. This is her fourth season with DanceWorks and her first season choreographing. She is thrilled to be creating alongside her best friend, Mo O’Grady, whom she met during her first season with DanceWorks.
