Mackenzie Simon is a New Jersey native who began dancing at the age of seven. She danced competitively throughout high school with West Side Dance, where she served as a captain and choreographer, as well as with the Jackson Memorial High School Varsity Dance Team. Mackenzie specializes in hip-hop and contemporary, styles that continue to shape her movement and creative voice.

Mackenzie graduated in 2024 from St. John’s University, where she was a member of the Division I Dance Team, earning a degree in Marketing. This marks her fifth season with DanceWorks and her second season choreographing. She is especially excited to debut her first contemporary piece with DanceWorks this season.
