Mary Kate Conway grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia where she fostered her love of dance. While growing up in the dance competition world, Mary Kate discovered her passion for choreography at 16 and never looked back. In 2016, She moved to New York City to continue her education at Pace University. Throughout college, she performed and choreographed for multiple companies throughout NYC. Her choreography has been shown at The Tank Theater, Flair Dance Festival, Stay at Home Film Festival, Chutzpah Dance's Movement Festival, Anthology 33, and The Vanessa Long Dance Company Showcase. 

Mary Kate aims to create choreography that is timeless, kinetic, and connects dancers from contrasting training backgrounds. 

Her most recent achievement was choreographing a short dance film to promote recording artist, Perfume Genius, show at the Brooklyn Paramount. Mary Kate also self produces and directs dance films to showcase her choreography. 

In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, collecting magnets and obsessing over pop music. She first connected with DanceWorks New York City in 2020 and is eager to be choreographing her eighth piece for the company!
